But we believe the best games are still ahead of us, and that’s where you come in.To continue our success story, we are now looking for you to join our team as our new UI/UX Designer (f/m/x).Your Quest:Drive design, tuning, implementation and polish of UI features which support the project’s game and creative directionsCoordinate interdepartmentally with artists, sound designers, programmers and animators to deliver high-quality fully integrated features within the defined deadlinesDevelop and improve generic logics and systems to empower an efficient and agile design workflowSupport the development of gameplay features by providing expert insight and solutions to UX problematicsDemonstrate a high level of ownership and responsibility in your day-to-day work and across disciplinesResourcefully navigate constraints and challenges by finding creative solutions to work around themYour Toolkit:Significant experience with visual scripting systems, like Unreal Engine BlueprintsStrong experience of Unreal Engine 5, particularly of UI-related tools and systems2+ years of experience in the field of UI and/or UX DesignDeep knowledge of user experience in interactive applicationExperience with standard industry software such as Photoshop and IllustratorAnalytical thinking with the capacity to quickly understand game design rules, mechanics, balancing concepts and techniquesAbility to understand and communicate technical issues from an aesthetic point of viewTeam Player with strong interpersonal and communication skills with willingness to learn new techniques and share knowledge openlyExperience in the gaming industryFull professional English proficiencyNice-to-Have Qualifications:Proficiency in C#, C++ or any other programming language in a strong plusGood knowledge of 3rd person melee combat games is a strong plusExperience driving the UX design of a project from pre-production to release is a strong plusWorking knowledge of Graphics Mathematics (Vectors, trigonometry, matrices, Boolean logic, etc) is a strong plusKnowledge of rendering pipelinesKnowledge of a shader language, experience writing and maintaining shadersBasic animation understandingPower-Ups You Receive:At DECK 13 Interactive, our people are at the heart of everything we do.
