You'll be required to be both strategic and reactive, assessing the skills and knowledge within the group and determining what training is needed to grow and nurture these individuals. The working environment is a mixture of Classroom and Practical based training delivery, which takes place within the delivery areas premises and using modern learning methods.
The practical training is carried out using Ground training aids such as the Jaguar, Hawk and Tornado aircraft and aircraft system simulators. Please be aware successful candidates for the SIO positions are required obtain Disclosure & Barring Service clearance. Basic check will be conducted on a successful candidate to ensure appropriate level of security clearance for operating at RAF Cosford Training Squadrons.
