If so, let's start the conversation.UKI Junior Controller - HungaryJob SummaryIron Mountain is seeking askilled Junior Controllerto join our UKI Accounting team in Hungary. This role is a key part of the UKI Accounting team, responsible for overseeing the financial control environment and internal control activities for the UK & Ireland entities. You will support the finance department in ensuring accurate monthly accounting in local systems, group reporting, and compliance with US GAAP, SOX, and company policies.What You'll Do (Core Responsibilities)Own and improve the regular balance sheet review process, with a special focus on performing and reviewing account reconciliations for both local and USGAAP purposes. Manage the monthly General Ledger close and reporting activities (monthly, quarterly, and annual) to deliver robust financial information, including producing the monthly disclosure report. Ensure compliance with IM group accounting policies, US GAAP, and SOX, and be accountable for country approval and cluster certification of SOX controls for UKI entities. Manage all relations with outsourced service providers, Audit & Tax Consultants, and tax public services, ensuring compliance with Local GAAP (with 3rd party support). Drive and support the effective operation of accounting in the country, identifying and resolving accounting issues, and providing support for any system or outsourcing transitions. What You'll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)The ideal candidate will have:Experience managing a General Ledger close for a large multinational corporation. Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS, with exposure to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) regulations. Experienced in preparing Statutory Accounts and a good understanding of Taxation (particularly VAT). Proven ability as a proactive self-starter with a proven problem-solving skill set and excellent communication/team building skills.
