Underwriting Analyst Intern

If you’re looking for a role where your work directly contributes to financing the clean energy transition, we’d love to talk.In this role, you willSupport the underwriting of renewable infrastructure projects by analyzing credit, sponsor, and asset-level risksAssist in evaluating transaction structures, key project documents, and financial modelsBuild and maintain project finance models in Excel to assess cash flows and deal performanceConduct due diligence on project sponsors, counterparties, and financiersPrepare internal memos summarizing key deal terms and risk factors for underwriting committee reviewCollaborate with underwriters and capital markets professionals to support deal executionGain exposure to credit insurance, risk transfer, and the capital formation process for energy assetsAn ideal candidate will haveStrong interest in renewable energy, finance, or risk managementA problem-solving mindset and intellectual curiosityStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (modeling experience is a major plus)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAttention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyA desire to work in a small team environment and take initiativeEnthusiasm for learning every aspect of project finance underwriting from due diligence to deal structuringQualifications:Current undergraduate student (junior or senior preferred) or recent graduateConcentration in finance, economics, engineering, data analytics, or related fieldPrior coursework or experience in project finance, renewable energy, or corporate finance is a plus—but not requiredWhy Energetic Capital?Energetic Capital is an underwriter focused on enabling the deployment of commercial and industrial renewable infrastructure.
