Review title searches, deeds, and other legal documents to identify any issues that could affect the property's ownership. Provide legal guidance to internal teams and clients regarding title issues and collaborate with external legal experts when necessary. Minimize risks associated with property transactions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Job ResponsibilitiesReviews and evaluates title searches and insurance risk factors and must be able to justify and communicate underwriting requirements to counsel for buyers, sellers and lenders on real estate transactionsResponsible for evaluating risk and exposures to determine acceptability of businessDetermines premiums, terms and conditions based established rules, rates, and guidelinesMay analyze data such as financial conditions of the organization, participation percentage, type of industry, characteristics of employee groups, or past claim experiencePerforms a range of assignments and may lead projects within own disciplineApplies working knowledge of business and best practices gained through understanding of key business drivers and recognition of how own area integrates within organizationWorks within broad guidelines and polices to accomplish objectives and goalsSolves moderately complex to complex problems and analyzes possible solutions using technical experience, judgement and precedentsExplains complex and/or sensitive information in a straightforward mannerActs as a resource for colleagues, provides guidance to less experienced team membersIndividual contributor working with limited oversightPerforms all other duties as assigned by managementEducationJuris Doctor requiredExperienceTypically requires 2+ years of related work experienceEqual Employment Opportunity EmployerStewart is committed to ensuring that its online application process provides an equal employment opportunity to all job seekers, including individuals with disabilities.
