Job Description

Unique Pyrotechnic, part of the Pyrotek Group, is an award-winning special effects company with offices located in Las Vegas, Nashville, Lititz, Toronto, New York, Copenhagen, Oslo and Gothenburg. We offer innovative design and execution of visionary special effects for live productions including stadium and arena tours, award shows, festivals, live television and much more. We fully service North American and World Tours from the design of the show to providing dedicated licensed technicians, ensuring that the effects are safely and professionally executed.

We are seeking a results-driven Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of complex special effects projects from concept to completion. This role involves developing detailed project plans, managing budgets and resources, setting clear milestones, and ensuring timely delivery in line with client expectations and technical requirements. The Project Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, oversee project performance through KPIs, mitigate risks—especially around health and safety—and continuously seek improvements in process and quality.

A strong focus on innovation, communication, and client satisfaction is essential, along with the ability to integrate new technologies and best practices into project delivery. Key Responsibilities: o Develop, or ensure the development by the project team of, effective project planso  Work collaboratively with client and internal team to define all aspects of the project plan to deliver special effects: • Overall project goals;•  Detailed step-by-step project plan (i. e. logistic management, production, workflow, equipment, etc.

)• Define key dates, milestones and estimated project completion date• Assign project teamo Ensure that the project team defines project budgets and resources required to completethe projecto Ensure that the project team documents and distributes the project plan, updates andrevises it when needed, and keeps all involved parties informedo Oversee the effective management of projects and set measurable project goals (KPIs)o  Collect and analyzes project information (incl.

progress to date, results achieved) to determine where the project stands and to predict the future status and progresso Lead project teams to the completion of projects on time, within budget, business and technical requirements while meeting and exceeding customer expectationso  Define KPIs and establish a process to measure project performance against its targetso  Ensure that there is regular communication with all project team members to share project status (i. e. status meetings, conference calls, etc.

)o  Work together with the project team to proactively identify potential health and safety risk factors and evaluate multiple options to minimize themo Seek out ideas and solutions to eliminate any non-value-added activities/steps, develops ways to improve the organization's processes to better serve clientso Incorporate proven best practices and new concepts/technologies to the customer’s special effects requirementso Meet with designers, engineers, and marketing professionals to learn about product features and audiences, test new special effects to ensure optimal performance prior to full implementationo Ensure continued focus on delivering quality and customized solutions to achieve exceptional client satisfactiono Work collaboratively across the organization to achieve team and company goalsQualifications• Post-secondary school degree, or equivalent experience•      Minimum 5 years of project management experience in the touring, live event, or entertainment production industry•     Deep knowledge of touring logistics and special effects systems (e.

g. , pyrotechnics, CO₂, flames, confetti, lasers)•     Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams under tight timelines•     Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills•     Willingness to travel extensively and work on-site during pre-production and rehearsals•     A passion for innovation, technical excellence, and live performance
