Research Assistant

Job DescriptionPosition Summary The Department of Integrative Agriculture at UAEU is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join a multidisciplinary project that investigates the bioactive components of goat milk and their potential in human health applications. Key Responsibilities Organize and store milk samples and maintain sample logs. Perform EV isolation and OS extraction using solid-phase extraction. Conduct advanced laboratory assays such as SDS-PAGE, protein quantification, immunoblotting, RNA extraction, EVs and OS extraction. Coordinate sample shipment and documentation for abroad analyses. Maintain detailed laboratory records and ensure proper data entry and quality control.

Collaborate with team members for data analysis and contribute to research reports and publications. Minimum Qualification Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Food Science, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in sample handling, extraction techniques, and molecular biology protocols (e. g. , RNA extraction, gel electrophoresis). Strong organizational and data management skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to work independently, follow detailed protocols, and coordinate with collaborators. Preferred Qualification Experience in cell culture, handling mice, Real-Time PCR, ELISA, spectrophotometer, GC-MS, HPLC, LC-MS, microbiology, and molecular profiling techniques.
