Job Description

Position Overview: As part of United Way's work in creating lasting impact and change in Utah County, the Digital Literacy Coordinator will help support and grow programs that help create connections in our community. They would be involved in supporting our Digital Literacy program that promotes and provides opportunities for community members to gain the digital skills needed to be connected. They would also be involved in supporting our relations with local nonprofit organizations. These programs and activities are part of a larger vision that focuses on improving education, financial stability and mental health for everyone in our community.

The Digital Literacy Coordinator will also collaborate with various United Way teams, community partners, and volunteers to develop, improve, and evaluate efforts and initiatives. Key ResponsibilitiesDigital Literacy SupportPlan and implement volunteer outreach and engagement. Assess class progress and identify evolving needs. Create digital systems to monitor student progress and establish protocols to update and maintain curriculum and enrollment. Work with marketing director to promote the program and ensure proper management of photo documentation. Community PartnershipsStrengthen our relationships with local nonprofit partners through regular meetings, trainings and communications. Support corporate volunteer committees who evaluate our nonprofit partnerships.

Enhance and coordinate outreach to volunteers and program participants. Program Support & CollaborationProvide support for other community connections programs as needed. Work with grant writers to secure funding for key initiatives, including compiling data and information for applications and submitting reports. Assist with the collection and interpretation of data for various programs. Other misc.

The typical work schedule will be 8: 30am-5: 00pm. However, working hours may include night or weekend hours as needed. Physical Activity:

In the course of performing this job, the incumbent typically spends time sitting, walking, listening/speaking, writing and operating a personal computer. At times, the employee may be required to drive an automobile to attend meetings within the community. They are expected to lift and carry office records and supplies up to 15 lbs. on an occasional basis.
