The Center for African Studies (CAS) is seeking to hire a highly organized and skilled Administrative Coordinator on temporary fulltime basis. The position will perform a variety of professional administrative tasks including providing support to the program director and Associate Director, assisting in daily office tasks, and general operations activities. The position will handle some confidential and timely materials, including budgets, and will be responsible for maintaining the Program calendar and its links to the UCIS calendar. The program Associate Director will supervise the position and from time to time will assign other duties as may be needed.
The Administrative Coordinator must be cordial, professional and possess excellent communication skills, computer technology skills, budgeting and planning skills and strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Primary Duties And ResponsibilitiesCreating and executing schedulesCommunicating with staff or clients who need assistanceServing as a point of contact for center activitiesProcessing and submitting travel and business requests/reportsPlanning, organizing and staging events and keeping organized recordsMaintaining the center website and media presenceAny other relevant duties as may be assigned by supervisorA High School Diploma or GED is required for this position and a Bachelor's degree is Preferred.
