Responsibilities Organizes classroom space into functional areas that are recognized by children and designed to foster independence, investigation, and creativity Provides a variety of creative opportunities, as well as activities that enrich the sense of a classroom community with respect to diversity, families, and culture Displays documentation and artwork, literacy, STEM activities using varied methods Reflect on-going themes or emergent interests of the classroom in line with documentation guidelines Makes observations and assesses children and uses information to inform planning for small group, large group, and individualized activities Conducts parent-teacher conferences three times per yearRequirements Bachelor鈥檚 Degree (completed or near completion) in Early Childhood Education, General Education, Special Education, Art Education, Social Work, etc.
Experience with children in a classroom setting. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on a teaching team, to execute developmentally appropriate. Curriculum that demonstrates creative and innovative thinking. Demonstrated ability to interact, communicate, and build relationships with parents and caregivers.
