Urban Economist – Urban Design GroupFoster + Partners’ Urban Design Group works across scales – from regional studies to masterplans and regeneration – integrating urban planning, economics, design, and social sciences to create people-focused environments with positive impact.We are seeking an Urban Economist to bring economic expertise into our multidisciplinary team. The role involves economic and spatial research, real estate and land-use analysis, and the development of strategic economic briefs to inform planning and design. You will help shape project narratives, integrate economic thinking into design processes, and support bids and competitions through market insights and positioning strategies.Key Responsibilities -Research and analyse city economies, demographics, real estate markets, and policyDevelop economic narratives, strategic rationales, and briefs for projects from site to masterplan scaleContribute to tools, methodologies, and R&D initiativesSupport business development with market and strategic analysisSkills & Experience - Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel (modelling/analysis)Knowledge of economic, spatial, and real estate analysis; GIS a plusExcellent organisational, written, and verbal communication skillsProactive, detail-oriented, collaborative approachBackground in urban economics, economic development, real estate, or related fieldsEligible to work in the UKApply now!
