Data Analyst - Amsterdam | 40 hoursUrban Gym Group is an industry pioneer within the European wellness and fitness community, with over 40 clubs and studios in major cities across the Netherlands and The United Kingdom. Our ambitious domestic and international growth plans require an expansion of our Business Intelligence team. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team.
In this role, you will play a key part in driving our data-driven decision-making, making a significant impact on our continued success. Working closely with our Finance, Marketing, and Analytics teams, you will extract valuable insights from our data, helping us optimise operations, enhance member experiences, and support our ambitious growth plans. Key responsibilities: Conduct market research and analyses to identify new club locations. Develop business cases for club expansion, including new builds, mergers, and acquisitions. Build ETL processes to structure data from various sources for business use.
Create data views, tables, and reports supporting daily operations and strategic goals. Design dashboards that enable informed, data-driven decisions. Analyze growth to identify high-performing areas and new opportunities. Query databases for insights on key metrics like revenue and member retention. Use data to boost member retention, inform marketing strategies, and support revenue growth. You: 2 to 4 years of experience in a data-focused role (e. g. , Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or BI Specialist). Proven expertise in data pipeline creation, data visualization, and analytics. Advanced proficiency in SQL with a strong understanding of Azure SQL.
Hands-on experience building ETL pipelines, ideally using Python or Azure Synapse Analytics. Proficient in Power BI, with a track record of designing impactful dashboards and reports. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Industry experience in fitness/wellness or retail is preferred, with insights into customer retention, revenue optimization, and business expansion. Experience in consulting or retail is an asset, especially in roles focused on addressing business challenges. Able to communicate complex data insights in a clear, actionable format for non-technical audiences. You are based in or around AmsterdamWe offer:
