As part of our Transport Unit, you’ll play a key role in keeping our city moving by supporting the effective management of parking operations.In this role, you’ll work closely with our Parking Operations Specialist to help shape how parking works across the city. From investigating and consulting on traffic restrictions to assisting with parking strategies and ensuring compliance with legislation, you’ll be right at the heart of making informed, practical decisions. You’ll also engage with a wide range of stakeholders, helping us create solutions that work for people and the community.If you’re detail-oriented, enjoy problem-solving, and want to contribute to smarter travel solutions, this is your chance to make a difference.Some Key Responsibilities IncludeResponding to and managing customer service requests related to parking and safety via the Authority platform.Creating and distributing letters for consultation, managing consultation feedback to finalise proposals and communicating outcomes to customersCollaborating with Capital Projects Engineers and Development Engineers to identify and incorporate changes to the Traffic Bylaw and parking restrictions resulting from new infrastructure works.Preparing scheduling documentation, visual illustrations, and consultation feedback for reporting to Committee.Coordinating Additional Works Requests through the Connect Hamilton platform to implement approved traffic restriction changes, including road marking and signage.QualificationsOo puumanawa me oo wheako | Your skills and experienceGeneral understanding of transport operations, parking management, and regulatory frameworks.Experience working in a local government or similar environment, ideally 2–3 years in a transport or customer/community related role.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to interpret and apply legislation and bylaws in a practical context.Strong attention to detail and ability to audit and verify technical data.A tertiary qualification in one of the following fields is preferred: Customer services, communications, community engagement or stakeholder managementAlternatively, equivalent practical experience in a transport operations or local government environment may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.Additional InformationHe aha te wariu o te utu kaimahi? | What’s the salary?
