US Accounting Manager

Job Title: Accounting ManagerLocation: Remote (Argentina) Type: Full-time Reports to: Director of Accounting / Finance ManagerAbout the RoleWe are looking for an Accounting Manager with strong hands-on experience in full-cycle bookkeeping and team leadership. This role will manage daily accounting operations for a portfolio of clients, ensure accurate financial reporting, and lead a team of bookkeepers while maintaining a high standard of client service.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee full-cycle accounting: A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, and financial reporting.Manage a portfolio of small to mid-sized clients across different industries.Review and finalize financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow).Ensure quality control and accuracy across all accounting records.Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3–8 bookkeepers / staff accountants.Review team deliverables and provide constructive feedback.Implement and improve accounting processes and internal controls.Partner with clients to provide financial insights and support decision-making.Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies.Collaborate cross-functionally with Payroll, Tax, FP&A, and Client Services.Participate in system implementations and process improvement projects.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.5+ years of accounting experience (including bookkeeping background).2+ years of experience in a supervisory or people management role.Experience in outsourced accounting firms, CPA firms, or service-based environments (preferred).Strong knowledge of US GAAP and month-end close processes.Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (must) and Excel. Experience with tools such as Xero, NetSuite, Bill.com, Gusto, Dext, or R365 is a plus.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication in English.Client-facing experience and ability to manage multiple priorities.Nice to HaveCPA, CMA, or related certification.Experience working with U.S. clients.Familiarity with SaaS, e-commerce, retail, real estate, or professional services industries.Experience automating accounting workflows with modern tools.
