This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in website development using Content Management Systems (CMS).

The intern will work on client websites and internal projects, focusing primarily on WordPress development and other popular CMS platforms.

 Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain client websites using WordPress and other CMS platformsCustomize WordPress themes and create child themesInstall, configure, and customize WordPress pluginsBuild custom websites using page buildersPerform website updates, backups, and security maintenanceOptimize websites for speed, SEO, and mobile responsivenessMigrate websites between hosting platforms and domainsTroubleshoot CMS-related issues and conflictsAssist with e-commerce site development using WooCommerce or similar platformsSupport content entry and website administration tasksTest websites across different browsers and devicesCollaborate with design team to implement custom layouts and features Required QualificationsCurrently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Marketing, or related fieldBasic understanding of WordPress or other CMS platformsFamiliarity with HTML, CSS, and basic web design principlesUnderstanding of responsive web design and mobile optimizationExperience with web hosting, domains, and FTPStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and customer service abilitiesSelf-motivated with ability to work independently and follow instructionsMust be local to Worcester, MA area for occasional in-office meetingsReliable internet connection and quiet workspace for remote word Preferred QualificationsHands-on experience with WordPress development, themes, and pluginsFamiliarity with popular page builders Knowledge of e-commerce developmentExperience with other CMS platforms (Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, Drupal)Understanding of SEO best practices and Google AnalyticsBasic PHP knowledge for WordPress customizationExperience with cPanel, hosting management, and domain administrationKnowledge of website security and performance optimizationPortfolio of CMS-based websites or projectsUnderstanding of UX/UI design principles What You'll GainReal-world web development experience on live projectsMentorship from experienced professionalsExposure to modern development tools and methodologiesProfessional networking opportunitiesLetter of recommendation upon successful completionPotential for future employment opportunitiesFlexible schedule to accommodate academic commitments RequirementsAbility to commit to 15-20 hours per week for the duration of the internshipLocal to Worcester, MA area for periodic in-office meetings and collaborationReliable internet connection and dedicated workspace for remote workOwn laptop/computer with necessary software for development workTransportation available for occasional office visits as neededLegal authorization to work in the United States Application ProcessTo apply, please submit to careers@ustechbridge.
