Joining this scaling business means becoming part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team where you can make a direct impact on the product, clients, and overall growth trajectory.The OpportunityAlderson James Group is partnering with our client to hire their first dedicated UI/UX Designer a foundational hire who will shape and elevate the entire user experience across the platform.Initially, your work will focus on modernising the current WPF application and supporting its transition to the web. This includes rethinking themes, icons, navigation, and interaction design. As the company advances toward a fully web-based platform, you will help define the design language, create design systems, and ensure intuitive, consistent user journeys.You will collaborate closely with Product, Development, and Implementation teams to gather requirements, build prototypes, and deliver elegant, functional design solutions. This is a high-impact role that will help set the standard for UI/UX practice across the organisation.Key Responsibilities:Gather and evaluate user requirements in partnership with Product, Development, and Implementation teams.Define and embed UI/UX processes into the SDLC.Develop wireframes, storyboards, process flows, and prototypes to communicate design concepts.Design and modernise user interface elements (menus, widgets, navigation, search, etc.).Build mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate functionality and design style.Present design concepts and iterations to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into design cycles.Identify and troubleshoot UX challenges (responsiveness, accessibility, usability).Conduct user feedback sessions and translate insights into actionable design changes.Support the long-term migration from WPF to web-based platforms.About You:Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience: 5–10 years in UI/UX design, ideally within enterprise SaaS, FinTech, or other complex product environments.Technical:Strong experience with web-based frameworks (especially React and Blazor).Experience with C# WPF applications is a significant bonus.Design Tools: Proficient in Figma, Adobe XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar.Attributes: Entrepreneurial, curious, delivery-focused, and comfortable working independently while collaborating across teams.Education: BSc in Design, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).What Success Looks Like (KPIs & Metrics):Delivery of a UI/UX revamp in close collaboration with the wider UI/UX and Product teams within 12 months.Positive feedback from internal teams and clients regarding usability improvements (survey/NPS-driven).Integration of UI/UX design practices into product lifecycle and sprint planning.Delivery of prototypes and design systems for the future web-based platform.
