The UX Designer is essential to ensuring product success and end-user satisfaction in a highly collaborative environment for both custom (Enterprise) software development and configuration of vended technology tools.The UX Designer position is responsible for taking a user-centered approach to design in finding the right solution for users as part of a small, cross-functional product team. You will help educate both business and technology teams on the design-thinking process and how it is embedded within the product development lifecycle, as well as lead products from discovery through iterative delivery while maintaining a human-centered approach in design perspective and practice.A firm understanding of user-centered design principles and user research methodologies is crucial for success in the role. Empathy, creative problem-solving, comfort with uncertainty, pairing with team members, excellent communication skills, curiosity and learning are the foundational characteristics of the UX Designer.Roles And ResponsibilitiesSolve the right problem through the understanding of user needs in order to deliver new or improved products and services that have real impactBring a lean/iterative mindset; be open to having conversations over documentationFull-stack designer: assist with all dimensions of design – research, usability evaluation, information architecture, wireframes, visual, CSS and HTML – it’s ok not be an expert in all, as long as you are open and want to learnWork with cross-functional teams and pair with everyone – other designers, product managers, and product engineersEmbrace a Lean/Agile mindset: be willing to adapt and experiment with design processStay up-to-date on UX/UI design industry best practices and trendsRequired Qualifications1 or more years of experience is required in the following:Professional experience as a UX Architect, UX Designer, or Product Designer roleExperience in at least one of the 3 design areas of expertise: user research, user experience design or interaction designExperience working effectively with Agile and lean philosophies Experience working independently with clients or stakeholders and designing business or enterprise applicationsExperience executing user-centered design methodologies and assisting with product design decisions from research through implementation, preferably alongside a more senior UX DesignerExperience working in design and prototyping software tools such as Figma, Sketch, Axure or InVisionExperience with modern front-end technologies and open source frameworks (e.g. Angular, React Native, HTML/CSS, grid systems, responsive design)Preferred QualificationsExperience with UX design advocacy within large business and technology organizationsExceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skillsA strong work ethic and collaboration skillsBachelor's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Fine Arts, Computer Science or Similar preferredAbility to rapidly prototypeWillingness to present on design topics internallyKnowledge of the healthcare industriesKnowledge of cloud-based technology platformsEducationBachelor's Degree is preferred. An equivalent combination of training and years of experience may be considered instead of a degree.Anticipated Weekly Hours40Time TypeFull timePay RangeThe Typical Pay Range For This Role Is$72,100.00 - $144,200.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
