UX Designer

Role: UX Designer (titled internally as UX Engineer)Location: Leeds, Hybrid (2/3 days per week on-site)Salary: Up to £60,000 + benefitsWe are looking for a talented UX Designer to join a collaborative in-house engineering and design team delivering complex browser-based web applications.You will work alongside developers, designers, and stakeholders to create accessible, elegant, and scalable user experiences, helping to define the look, feel, and usability of high-impact internal tools used across the business.What You’ll DoDesign intuitive, user-focused web application interfaces used in professional environments.Collaborate with engineers to deliver simple, consistent design solutions for complex data-heavy workflows.Contribute to and evolve an internal design system and component library.Champion accessibility and inclusive design practices across multiple projects.Engage directly with internal stakeholders to translate user needs into functional, visually refined designs.What We’re Looking ForProven experience designing web applications (not just marketing websites).A strong, well-structured portfolio showcasing interaction design, accessibility, and UI craft.Experience working in multi-project or professional/regulated environments such as law, finance, or healthcare.Fluency in Figma (or similar tools) and confidence collaborating with developers.Solid grasp of UX principles, component-based design, and accessibility standards (WCAG).Bonus: Hands-on experience/understanding of HTML, CSS, or front-end frameworks to communicate effectively with engineers.Why JoinBe part of a close-knit, engineering-led team where design is valued.Flexible hybrid model based in Leeds (around 2- 3 days a week in office).Work on products with meaningful business impact and long-term visibility.Interview Process30-minute informal chat on Teams focusing on fit and communication.Technical deep dive and portfolio discussion with the UX Engineer and a developer.Please note:We are an equal opportunity employer.
