The OpenText User Experience group is a distributed, multi-disciplinary team of professionals responsible for enhancing the usability, usefulness, and overall experience of the company’s product suites worldwide. Activities include planning and conducting usability testing (moderated and unmoderated), developing and maintaining personas, designing and administering surveys, and synthesizing findings into actionable recommendations for product teams. This position has a lead research project focus, taking directi on from the team Manager and from Team Leads or Senior Management on day-to-day activities, research process, and insight delivery. You should be able to work independently and productively with minimal supervision. The ability to organize your time, manage multiple projects, and see research through from planning to actionable outcomes is extremely important.What You Will DoPlan, design, and conduct usability testing (moderated and unmoderated) for web and mobile applications.Develop and maintain personas based on qualitative and quantitative research.Create and administer surveys to capture user attitudes, behaviors, and satisfaction metrics.Analyze research data to identify patterns, pain points, and opportunities.Translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for UX Designers, Product Managers, and Development teams.Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to ensure research insights are integrated into product roadmaps and design iterations.Deliver all research outputs on time, with a high focus on detail and clarity.What You Need To SucceedProven experience with usability testing, persona development, and survey design.Proficiency with leading UX research and analysis tools (e.g., Lyssna, Survey Monkey, Dovetail, Excel, etc.).Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, meeting all project deadlines.Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, adjusting priorities quickly in response to changing corporate or departmental goals.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with UX Designers, Product Managers, and Development teams to ensure research findings are actionable and implemented.Accredited post-secondary program in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field (3+ year programs preferred).Minimum 6 years of working experience in UX research or a related field.ONE LAST THING Your work will directly influence product strategy, design decisions, and development priorities, ensuring that every feature we ship is grounded in a deep understanding of our users.OpenText is committed to employee equity.OpenText's efforts to build an inclusive work environment go beyond simply complying with applicable laws.
