You could be one of our 2700 committed team members who are up to the challenge.About The RoleAs a V/Line Intern,you will undertake a tailored work experience placement, engaging with various teams to gain valuable insights and skills that align with your career goals.Key accountabilities include:Participate in up to 120 hours of work experience across one or more teams. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and contribute to team goals. Uphold V/Line’s core values in all interactions. You should align with V/Line’s values and demonstrate a commitment to community engagement.To be eligible for this unpaid internship, you must meet the following criteria:Australian citizen or Permanent ResidentCurrent enrolment as a 1 st , 2 nd , 3 rd or 4 th year bachelor or post-graduate studies student; master’s candidates may be considered. Provide a signed work experience arrangement form from your university for insurance. Shortlisted applicants must pass a V/Line internship interview. Placement dates and hours will be negotiated; preferences may not be honoured. Pass a police check (note – this is added as interns may be exposed to sensitive information). Our ideal candidate will possess the following:Foundational knowledge of their study and placement discipline. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic technical skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications. Previous work experience in customer service or knowledge of the rail industry (desirable) If your skills or experience don’t exactly match our listed requirements, we still encourage you to apply.
