Job Description

OverviewThis position will be physically located in The Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP*** The Electrician Journeyman Lead is responsible for coordinating, overseeing, and executing repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on including, but not limited to, indoor lighting systems, electrical systems and apparatus, primary power distribution systems and panel boards, outdoor facility lighting, construction projects, and HVAC systems. Responds to emergency power and back-up systems failures. Monitors and tests various electrical systems. Coordinates inspections for contractors performing work in renovations and new construction projects. Locates electrical underground electrical utilities for various projects.

Ensures personnel exhibit superior workmanship and focuses on a quality end product. Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure tasks are accomplished safely and with an emphasis on quality. Provides direct oversight for junior Electricians. Verifies actual hours worked by personnel to accurately report manpower expenditure. Ensures personnel complete tasks in accordance with local Safety, Environmental, and Health directives. Provides leadership and mentors junior personnel to develop appropriate skillsets. Addresses customer concerns in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner.

Uses a Computer Maintenance Management System (Maximo and or GFEBS) to correctly capture data related to maintenance work orders, preventative maintenance inspections, and emergency/urgent customer requests. Ensures personnel accurately capture data on maintenance work order requests and preventive maintenance inspection forms for upload into the work order database. Coordinates and executes preventive and corrective maintenance troubleshooting and repairs on facility electrical systems and apparatusesSupervises inspections and repairs on Main Power Distribution Systems, Panel Boards, and indoor/outdoor lighting systemsConducts project review and continual training of assigned personnelMonitors and tests various electrical systemsOversees repair to line voltage for all HVAC systemsResponds to emergency power outages and back-up system failuresMaintains accountability and serviceability of assigned toolsets and equipmentConducts tests and inspects equipment, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performanceRecords and reports all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work ordersEnsure compliance with UFC, MEW, Performance Work Statement, and applicable regulationsPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldEducation can be substituted with work experience on a year for year basisMust be able to obtain an on post licenseMust be CAC eligible and/or the ability to obtain a CACExperience: Minimum of eight (8) years Electrician experienceMust have an excellent understanding of all safety directives and policies regarding the operation of equipmentCertification:

Must have a valid Journeyman Electrician LicenseMasters’ Electrician License preferredSkillsThorough knowledge of Electrical CodesAbility to manage multiple job sites and prioritiesAbility to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with all people including those from diverse ethnic and educational backgroundsAbility to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administratorMust have basic computer skillsWorking Conditions: Must be capable of working in various weather conditions (i. e. , hot, humidity, sunny, rainy)Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well. Physical Requirements:

Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and theworker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work. Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.

Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
