Design Manager

Job Title: Design Manager – CSA biased with MEP knowledge Location: Helsinki, Finland Contract Type: Freelance Duration: 12-month initial term, review after 11 months for potential 8–10 month extensionWe are seeking an experienced Design Manager with a strong CSA bias and solid MEP understanding to join a client-side team delivering a major data centre project in Helsinki. The role will involve overseeing and coordinating design activities, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery across all disciplines, with a particular focus on civil, structural, and architectural works, while maintaining effective integration with MEP systems. Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate design activities across CSA and MEP disciplinesManage design interfaces and resolve technical issues promptlyEnsure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standardsLiaise with client representatives, contractors, and consultantsMonitor design progress and support project delivery milestonesProvide technical guidance and oversight to ensure quality outcomesRequirements: Proven experience as a Design Manager on data centre or similar mission-critical projectsStrong CSA background with comprehensive understanding of MEP systemsAbility to manage multidisciplinary teams and resolve design challengesExcellent communication and coordination skillsPrevious client-side or consultancy experience is an advantageEngagement: Freelance – either all-in rate or with accommodation and car provided
