General Summary/ResponsibilitiesThe Vaccine Program Coordinator will report to the Quality Director. The Vaccine Program Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the vaccine program in Premier Physician Network ambulatory offices, including safe handling, storage, regulatory reporting, and timely and efficient ordering practices.The Vaccine Program Coordinator will report to the Quality Director. The Vaccine Program Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the vaccine program in Premier Physician Network ambulatory offices, including safe handling, storage, regulatory reporting, and timely and efficient ordering practices.QualificationsEducationMinimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED High School completion / GEDHigh school diploma/GEDExperienceMinimum Level of Experience Required: 1 - 3 years of job-related experiencePrior job title or occupational experience: Enter prior experience or N/APrior specific functional responsibilities: Familiarity with quality programs, vaccine/medication safety, excellent communication abilitiesEssential Duties & FunctionsResource ManagementAssists in inventory management of vaccine stock in officesAssures timely ordering of vaccinesCoordinates employee seasonal vaccine administration on annual basisDocumentationCollects practice emergency plans on an ongoing basis in a centralized electronic PPN corporate fileReviews emergency plans and Vaccines For Children (VFC) vaccine management plans to ensure updates are recorded for changes to practice medical director, manager, and vaccine coordinatorsCoordinates with PPN Regulatory to assure compliance with documentation and reporting requirements for ODH Vaccines for ChildrenRegisters as IMPACTSIIS keymaster to manage manager and staff access to IMPACTSIIS Vaccines Ordering Management System (VOMS)Monitors CDC/Immunize.org for Vaccine Information Sheet (VIS) updates and assures updated VIS utilization in officesPoint of contact for Vaccine Adverse Event ReportingProcess ImprovementCoordinates with Digital Health to implement changes in EHR recommendations for vaccine administrationMonitors electronic health data for vaccine gap closure opportunitiesQuality ControlAssures appropriate storage and handling of vaccinesAssures each office has properly installed, operating, and calibrated temperature monitoring devicesProvides WiFi temperature monitoring oversight to ensure staff is aware of warningsIntervenes in a timely fashion to prevent vaccine spoilage in the event of temperature excursionsAssesses emergency plans for vulnerabilities in vaccine handling on an ongoing basis including ensuring backup facilities can accommodate vaccine inventories during power or refrigeration outages.Collaborates with Quality team in annual reviews of PPN Safety Manual.Collaborates with Operations team on new refrigeration purchases and temperature stabilizationEducationProvides training to staff regarding vaccine management and VFC program requirements.Provides training to staff in obtaining patient/parent/guardian consentDisseminates updates to vaccine schedule to clinical staffActs as Liaison to pharmaceutical representatives and health departments to coordinate training for staffHigh School completion / GED
