Valuations Analyst

Our client is looking for a Valuations Analyst to join their Financial Reporting & Valuations Branch oversees the valuation and pricing of pooled funds, preparation of audited financial statements, and delivery of timely reporting to clients and internal stakeholders. They are seeking a motivated professional to support the year-end and mid-year valuation processes for illiquid investments across infrastructure, private equity, and private debt portfolios.ResponsibilitiesReview and challenge valuations prepared by investment teams or external valuators to ensure alignment with IFRS 13 fair value principles.Develop and review valuation models for select investments, identifying key drivers and preparing concise summary reports for management.Assist in compiling valuation information for financial statements and ensure all documentation maintains transparency and a complete audit trail.Collect and validate financial data (e.g., enterprise value, equity value, and revenue) to support ESG and carbon footprint assurance reporting for Private Markets portfolios.Support external audit processes by preparing documentation, addressing auditor queries, and maintaining accurate records of valuation activities.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and consistency in valuation and reporting workflows.QualificationsCPA or international equivalent (e.g., CA, ACA, ACCA) required.CBV designation, in progress toward CBV, or CFA designation/Level 2 completion.Strong understanding of valuation methodologies for private market investments and IFRS fair value accounting.Ability to interpret complex ownership structures, financial statements, and performance data to support accurate valuations.Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with Capital IQ is an asset.Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver precise results under pressure.Pay: $50-70 per/hourRemote work with the ability to travel 1-2 times during the duration of the 6-month period.
