Cloud Engineer

Full Job DescriptionVectiq is seeking TSPV-cleared Cloud Engineers to join a highly skilled and collaborative team within a Federal Government department based in Canberra. About The RoleAs a Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting cloud infrastructure and services across complex and secure environments. This position involves working closely with solution architects, security teams, and other IT professionals to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutions aligned with business and mission-critical objectives.

ResponsibilitiesDesign and deploy cloud-based solutions in alignment with enterprise architecture and security standardsImplement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormationMonitor cloud environments to ensure performance, security, and availabilityTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and servicesCollaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate cloud services with existing systemsMaintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments where possibleProvide guidance on cloud governance, cost optimisation, and technical best practicesEnsure compliance with Government cloud security frameworks, policies, and accreditation requirementsPreferred Experience and SkillsStrong experience with AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud environmentsProficiency in scripting and automation (e. g.
