As an Interior Designer you will be responsible for developing and delivering workplace environments that are functional, visually engaging, and aligned with client brand and business objectives. Working under the guidance of senior design leads or project managers, you will contribute to all stages of the design process, from concept development through to construction documentation and site coordination. Experience: · A tertiary qualification in Interior Design or equivalent. · Experience working as an Interior Designer in Australia· 5+ years’ experience as an Interior Designer within a similar role. · Working across high quality workplace, commercial and various other sectors.
· Design & construction experience is advantageous but not critical. · Have experience working with consultants, clients and small project teams· Skilled in end-to-end project design, from initial pitch to completion. · Proficient in Revit, Enscape, and Adobe Suite. Key Responsibilities · Project lead on small projects with the support of senior members of the Vemi Team· Collaborate on the development of design concepts and space planning for commercial office environments. · Prepare drawings, presentation packages, mood boards, and material palettes to communicate design intent. · Produce detailed documentation, including floor plans, elevations, finishes schedules, and FF&E specifications. · Prepare test fits based on client requirements. · Compile concept presentations using Adobe suite Revit and Enscape · Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure design intent is maintained throughout delivery.
· Conduct product and material research, staying up to date with workplace trends and innovations. · Participate in client meetings and site visits to support design implementation and quality control. · Have an understanding of compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, accessibility, sustainability standards and Local building codes.
