The individual’s primary function will be to support the origination, selection, and management of investments in privately held biotechnology companies in North America and Europe. Specific Responsibilities·      Work with the NEMO team to identify biotech investments consistent with the Fund’s objectives and risk constraints; ·      Play an active role in the investment process including sourcing, evaluating and closing transactions;·      Support rigorous due diligence on scientific and clinical data, regulatory and commercial strategy ·      Conduct market sizing and competitive landscape analysis in the biopharmaceutical sector·      Build financial models using provided inputs;·      Participate and prepare documents as required to the Investment Committee;·      Update and maintain investment deal database;·      Compile meeting notes and due diligence findings; Ideal Candidate Will Have-    Advanced scientific training and/or working experience in life science and/or healthcare-    Good understanding of financial statement analysis and valuation methodologies-    Superior report writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills-    Very strong analytical skills and attention to detail-    Ability to network and build trust-based relationships-    A passion to learn, ability to multi-task, and willingness to work in situations that involve tight deadlines-    Currently located or interested in relocating to Montreal, with the expectation of working in person Requirements-      Ph.D. in life sciences or a related area and/or MD/DVM/PharmD degree-      CFA designation or commitment to pursuing the CFA designation-      MBA in finance or equivalent is a plus-      2 to 4 years of work experience in biotech, venture capital or life sciences industry sector-      Fluency in oral and written English-      International work experience an assetPlease attach your CV along with a cover letter with your LinkedIn application.
