The Verdi Budapest Aquincum Hotel, a 310-bedroom and suite hotel, is seeking an ambitious, experienced, customer and revenue-oriented Sales Manager. The person in this position would be responsible for the business groups and events and significantly contribute to the hotel’s revenue-driving efforts in line with overall business mix objectives. Your main responsibilities:
· Management of business groups and events from quotation to invoicing· Active participation in achieving the segment’s planned annual room and banquet revenue· Management and supervision of a small team of two Sales Executives · Continuous contact and cooperation with DMCs, event organisers, and companies· Acquire new partners, identify and generate sales leads from all available channels· Organise and conduct sales calls, site inspections, and partner events· Answer customer inquiries within 24 hours in a professional and timely manner· Processing FUPs, emails, sending BEOs and Pro-forma invoices· Use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to convert business · Collaboration with all other departments, especially with the F&B team and the Chef· Attend foreign sales trips, workshops, fairs, and domestic events and professionally represent the hotel · Keep up to date with market trends and conditions, competitor developments and customer performanceOur ideal candidate has· Bachelor’s degree preferably in Hospitality, Tourism and Hotel Management · Minimum three years of professional experience in sales, event management, preferably in a 4*+ hotel· Strong knowledge of the MICE segment and the hotel market in Budapest · Relevant existing partner relationships· Excellent verbal and written skills in Hungarian and English· Knowledge of OPERA Cloud and the Cvent platform is an advantage · A strategic and forward-looking way of working, as well as strong analytical skills· High customer and service orientation, attention to detail· Positive attitude and flexibility at work · Willingness to travel a few times per yearWhy join us?· Discounted accommodation in our hotel chain· Free catering at our staff canteen· Free access to our Gym and Aronia Wellness & Spa· Free guarded parking· A stable background provided by an international hotel chainIf you are passionate about event sales and enjoy managing every detail of the client experience, we encourage you to apply and become part of our professional team by sending your CV in English and Hungarian.
