We are looking for Mechanical Designer to join our team in Nove Mesto nad Vahom, Slovakia!As Mechanical Designer you will design and optimize mechanical components for Engineered-to-Order HVAC units, focusing on sheet metal and piping while collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams. Your role includes creating and reviewing detailed CAD documentation and improving designs to balance cost, quality, and manufacturability. What kind of work will you be doing? Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team on “engineered to order” (ETO) projects for following ranges of units: Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC), IN ROW, Mobile.

To design ETO solutions with a focus on the mechanical aspects (mainly sheet metal and piping), collaborating with suppliers, Procurement and Industrial Engineering, being aware of the necessary product marketing inputs. To create and review product documentation (CAD drawings, specifications, bills of material). To meet objectives of cost, quality, environment and time of execution, achieving the best trade-off between market and internal customer needs.

To analyze and resolve technical problems as regards products under his/her responsibility; improving, updating, reviewing the mechanical drawings according to the information from the Production, Procurement and Logistics departments, so as to simplify the assembly, reducing the costs and improving the quality. A high level of experienced CAD skill, combined with a good attention to details.

What will make you successful? Technical Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; 3- 5 years of previous working experience on similar activities, ideally in the CRAC or HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) sectors; Good knowledge of light structural work processing is mandatory; Knowledge of refrigeration principles is desirable; Knowledge of thermodynamics aspects is desirable but not essential; Excellent knowledge of 3D/2D CAD & PLM systems, Microsoft Office tools, particularly PTC Creo and Solid Edge.

Knowledge of the management computer systems; Knowledge of technical norms, company procedures of basic detailed lists; Knowledge of technical drawings; Good knowledge of Bill of Materials structure and, eventually, their configurations; Capacity of taking decisions as for solving problems; English – Intermediate level – Written and spoken; Competences: result-oriented, team player, careful to details, flexible.
