Job Description

Vestas Technology & Operations > Procurement > TransportThe Transport Procurement department is an integral part of the Global Procurement organization and deals with transport supplier. The team must secure transport capacity at the right safety, quality and cost level. You will join an experienced team with a high level of interaction within the value chain.

You will work closely with stakeholders at all levels to understand business requirements and secure execution of commodity strategies toward suppliers ensuring a sustainable, scalable, and high performing supply base.

ResponsibilitiesNegotiate and manage vessels chartering, identifying business requirements, aligning with market analytics to support Vestas functions on activities for Manufacturing, Sales, Services and the Supply chain organizationIdentify chartering business requirements/internal demand (short and long term) Align capacity demands of global transport for vessels and chartering businessNegotiate transport prices to safeguard budgets and establish contracts with transport vendors and negotiate contracts, as well as frame agreementsResearch and develop supply market and assess supply risks and opportunities Communication and relationship development with senior global, regional, and local stakeholdersQualificationsBachelor's degree within a relevant area (Business Adm, Economics, Engineering, etc) Working experience within an OEM with global footprint for at least 8 years, having ability to operate effectively within a matrix environmentComprehensive analytical experience and able develop strategic outlook of the ocean transportation business, strategic thinkingKnowledge of large complex contractsCompetenciesGreat negotiation & interpersonal skillsGood at identifying and define problems, including cost analysis and financial abilities Deep understanding of the transport market dynamics Proven problem solving and decision-making skillsAbility to direct change and influence othersResult-oriented, innovative, self-motivatedAdvanced communication skills in EnglishWhat We OfferWe offer you an exciting job with great opportunities for both professional and personal development within the renewable energy industry.
