Viasat is seeking a new team member to support program control activities within its Government Services division. This role will report to the Program Control Director. This is an exciting opportunity to support a new Cost Plus contract with full EV requirements from inception, and act as business partner to the PM. The day-to-dayAs a Program Control Manager, you'll lead a team of Program Control Analysts, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of diverse programs.

You'll be the key advisor to Program Managers, providing strategic insights that drive sound decisions for the program, the company, and our customers. You'll leverage your expertise in Earned Value Management to deliver critical performance analysis and empower your team to expertly manage program schedules within MS Project. Beyond direct program support, you'll be instrumental in mentoring your team, fostering their professional growth, and guiding them to achieve their goals and objectives. You'll also spearhead process improvement initiatives to enhance the overall efficiency and compliance of the Program Control team.

This dynamic role involves daily collaboration with Program Managers, finance professionals, functional groups, and engineering staff in a team-centric environment dedicated to achieving both program and professional excellence. What you'll need12+ years of progressive program control experience with government contracting companies. 3+ years of prior experience leading a team. Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or technical field. Advanced knowledge of MS Project and scheduling experience in a high-tech engineering environment. Must be proficient in MS PowerPoint, Advanced Excel skills, and a mastery of Earned Value Management (EVM).

Comprehensive knowledge of EVMS Guidelines, DoD EVMSIG, and IBR requirementsUnderstanding and prior support of $20M+ Cost Plus programs. Experience creating IPMR/IPMDAR reports for submission to customers. Prior experience as a Program Control Analyst, Program Scheduler, or Program Finance Analyst. Proven track record of leading teams, problem solving, performance analysis, utilizing program management techniques and achieving the goals of the program and business area. Excellent teamwork and organizational skills. Up to 10% travel. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. U. S. government position. US citizenship required.
