Brookfield is committed to the development of our people through challenging work assignments and exposure to diverse businesses.Job DescriptionPurpose of the role:Plays a key role in the identification, evaluation, recommendation and management of investment opportunities in the infrastructure sector across the data, midstream, transport and utilities sectors supporting Brookfield Infrastructure’s equity funds.The successful candidate will be responsible for execution of a transaction, which includes conducting the due diligence and analysis, preparing the business plan and other tasks. In addition, the Vice President will be assisting with the origination and development of investment opportunities.The ideal candidate will have extensive infrastructure experience, sound analytical capabilities; and strong commercial sense and communication skills.ExecutionLead execution of transactions, collaborating with internal partners and business group leads as well as interfacing with counterparties and external advisorsLead due diligence process and associated analysis to validate the business plan supporting an acquisitionWork with legal, tax and other internal teams, lead the transaction execution process, including ensuring transaction documentation and structuring is consistent with the business casePrepare investment committee presentation materials and other documents such as bid lettersPresent analysis to senior leaders in a clear and succinct mannerBusiness DevelopmentSupport the implementation of the business development and transaction strategyLead industry and market research to support the development of investment strategies or identify transaction opportunitiesSupport the investment thesis and identification of value creation strategies and assist in developing ideas for a transaction / deal structureNetwork and develop new investment ideas to grow the businessAsset ManagementWork with management teams on strategic business initiatives at portfolio companiesMonitor ongoing financial and operational performance of investmentsQualifications/Experience/Skills6+ years of infrastructure experience as an investment professional or in investment banking;A track record of leading end-to-end execution of a transaction;Superior financial modelling and due diligence capabilities;Strong negotiation and relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders;Organized and detail-oriented; ability to work in situations with changing priorities and multiple simultaneous assignments;Excellent verbal and written communication; experience presenting analyses to senior leaders and ability to lead and drive initiatives.Key CompetenciesAbility to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motived with respect to both managing workload and own professional developmentA professional, positive attitude and capable of contributing to a dynamic and team-oriented cultureStrong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detailTeam-oriented and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop collaborative relationships at all levels in the organizationActs quickly and efficientlyBrookfield is committed to maintaining a Positive Work Environment that is safe and respectful; our shared success depends on it.
