Are you looking for a next step or a kick-start to your legal career in global business environment?We are looking for a Vice President, Legal, Automation Solutions and Flow Control. In this position, you will report to the EVP, Legal, General Counsel, and be a member of the Automation Solutions and Flow Control Leadership Teams as well as Legal Leadership Team. The position is located in Tikkurila, Vantaa, Finland.This role includes a wide range of different responsibilities, for example:Ensuring compliance with relevant local and regional laws and regulationsEnsuring adherence with Company and BA specific policies and guidelinesMitigating legal risks within the BA through proactive risk management strategies and legal adviceDrafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements to protect BA’s interests, act as sparring partner to BA’s across all legal matters specific to BAManaging legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation, in coordination with external counsel as neededAdvising respective BA Leadership Teams on a variety of legal issuesProviding training and guidance to BA employees on legal and compliance mattersMaintaining proper corporate interactions with relevant stakeholder groups, incl. governmental bodies and legislaturesConducting research and staying updated on legal trends and developments relevant to the BA’s operationsDrafting and negotiating agent and distribution agreementsRecruiting, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, psychological safety, and continuous improvementTo Succeed In This Role, You Will NeedA Master’s Degree in LawAt least 8 years of work experience in a global company or law firm working in a business-to-business environment; work experience in pulp and paper or oil and gas industry is an assetComprehensive knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance, with familiarity in industry-specific regulations for highly engineered productsDemonstrate strong presence as business partner towards the management and not be afraid to voice opinions and make recommendations for the businessStrong analytical and negotiation skills, and team working mindsetProven track record in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts and agreements, managing legal disputes, and leading high-performing legal teamFluent written and spoken English skillsGood cross organization cooperation and communicationCapability to work in a high stress environmentDemonstrable and sustained excellent performance and leadershipReadiness and ability to travelWe OfferAn opportunity to gain work experience in a crown jewel of the Finnish export industryA variety of work assignments and a multidisciplinary team to go with themA truly global network of colleaguesAdditional InformationIf this sounds like a challenge you’d like to meet, and you match most of the requirements above, please complete your application via the link provided by November 23, 2025.For more information about this position please call Rasmus Oksala, EVP, Legal, General Counsel +358 40 586 8997, on November 10 between 14:30-15:30 or November 13 between 10:30-11:30.We review applications during the application period, and the position will be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is found.
