With our scale, know-how, and resources, we are in a position to drive the energy transition.As Vice President in our Nordic Capital Formation team, you will join a team of 5 employees and be part of a broader IR & BD organization. The role involves close collaboration with CIP’s broader distribution (sales) team and as part of the job, you will also get exposure to all funds and teams within CIP, as we work closely with all groups across the organization (Investment Teams, Finance, Legal, ESG, etc.).The broader IR & BD organization is responsible for all investor facing activities and business development from product and fund design, fundraising, onboarding and service of investors. The team is international, diverse and consists of about 75 professionals from different backgrounds, including investment banking, management consulting, and law firms, based in 9 offices across Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia.RoleAs our new Vice President in Nordic Capital Formation, you will be responsible for directing capital raising efforts in the Nordic and you will play a key role in sourcing, managing, and deepening relationships with investors to support fund-raising initiatives. You will be responsible for managing the full fundraising process with the investors, many of whom may have diverse levels of familiarity with CIP and varying due diligence requirements.This role requires effective communication and consultative skills to articulate the value of CIP’s infrastructure projects and address investor-specific considerations. Effective project management is also essential to ensure a smooth and professional fundraising process that meets the expectations of both external investors and internal stakeholders. You will be exposed to a large variety of tasks that require a deep understanding of CIP’s investment strategies and their track records, the firm’s organizational setup, financial models and ESG, as well as many of the underlying investments.Responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to:Play a primary role in maintaining relationships with and optimizing the output from the existing LP base incl. maintaining open and transparent communication with LPs post-fundraisingSystematically map and target LPs not presently invested with CIP. Categorize LPs based on their investment preferences, assets risk appetite, geographic location, and industry focusIn collaboration with the colleagues in the Nordic Capital Formation team develop distributions strategies for new fundraisings In collaboration with other teams develop tailored material for strategic investor meetings to demonstrate fund positioning and enhance fundraising momentumProject manage investor fundraise process from pitch to closing incl. timely and accurate fundraise performance management communication to senior leadershipStakeholder management and close collaboration with other teams in CIP as part of fundraising processes (Legal, ESG, Finance, Tax, Risk, etc.)Supporting more junior colleagues in the team and facilitate development of next generation of Distribution talentYouWe are looking for a Vice President with minimum 10 years of experience from a position in banking, investment, or private equity. You have experience dealing with sophisticated investors and from Client Relations, Capital Raising capital formation and or relationship management (ideally Infra./Real Assets). You have a natural interest in fundraising, renewable energy projects and private equity. Preferably you also have a good knowledge of the credit market.
