Your career at Deutsche Börse GroupField of ActivityYou will be responsible to identify, build up and maintain a strong relationship to Japanese financial institutions covering both listed and OTC derivatives. This requires a direct relationship with sell-side clients (including D1 desks, sales, and execution teams) and buy-side firms (including funds, asset managers, SWF, pension funds, insurance, etc). It includes increasing the (in) direct trade flow out of APAC region by attracting new customers and exchange members, and contributions to the sales initiatives and projects for the region.You will also be responsible for maintaining and developing our relationships with our peers locally and with the authorities – including the regulators.Your ResponsibilitiesFacilitating Sales initiatives based on combining a sound understanding of the customer’s needs, processes, and business models to grow the usage of Eurex product suiteDeliver in three dimensions:Increase distribution & trading activityGrow trustful client relationshipsProvide customer intelligence into Eurex’ product & service design processesCultivate and manage key relationships with buy-side and sell-side clients to grow the usage, and generate support for existing and new products and servicesGenerate short and longer-term sales solutions to expand footprints in Japan and in the regionActive participation in industry-relevant associations and representation of the company and asset class at events & conferencesSupport in creating and executing regional and product specific sales plans with a strategic view of the asset class expansion in APACHigh level of familiarity of capital markets, derivatives, and relevant regulations impacting the exchange and clients in the regionManagement of the Eurex Japan Representative OfficeMaintain our relationship with the local regulator and ensure that our reporting obligations are done in due time.The position requires some travelling to Asian financial markets & occasionally to Europe Our RequirementsUniversity degree level and/or min. 10-15 years’ experience in the international financial industryProven ability to work alone and as part of a team with the objective to meet common target achievementStrong sales experience with broad network and relationship to Japanese financial institutions, as well as client relationship management skills is keyStrong and broad product knowledge across asset classes and financial instruments, including OTC and listed derivativesKnow-how of Eurex products and markets, as well as a good understanding of the business motivations of various market participants (Asset Manager, Pension, Insurers, hedge funds, Banks etc.)Understanding of the latest changes to the regulatory landscape in Asian key markets, its potential impact on financial legislation, and the trends towards centralized clearingStrong problem solving & integrated thinking skills with a solutions-oriented approach to challengesProficient & self-confident manner with excellent presentation skills to confidently and clearly articulate viewsExcellent communication skills with strong written and oral proficiency in English. Japanese business level required.
