We have our own film studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd.Rebellion is growing! We're on the hunt for two imaginative Video Editors to help us bring bold stories and standout visuals to life.The Video Editor position is an exciting opportunity within our internal marketing video team, which is a crucial part of the broader Rebellion Marketing group. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our creative process, responsible for editing and producing captivating videos, demos, and cut scenes that showcase Rebellion's products. You'll also ensure that your work aligns seamlessly with both the technical specifications and the artistic vision of each project.This role is based at our riverside headquarters in Oxford, offering a creative and relaxed atmosphere where teamwork drives our success. We can provide a relocation package, including moving assistance, temporary accommodation, and full support to ensure a smooth transition to your new environment.We believe in the power of face-to-face collaboration and encourage working from our Oxford headquarters. However, we understand that flexibility matters, so we're open to discussing hybrid options based on individual needs.Responsibilities:Capturing and editing high-quality video content for use both internally and externally to enhance appeal and awareness for Rebellion's productsCreating motion graphics to be used for promotional materialEnsuring each video asset is fit for purpose for the target audience and channel, in line with briefings and delivery schedules from the Marketing teamCollaborating closely with key internal development stakeholders with each function to create best outcomes, within given restraints and guidelines. Specifically, these include Marketing, Art, Designers, Programmers, Outsourcing and ProducersCollaborating closely with team members in the Video Editing department as well as Producers to solicit feedback and ensure that the direction of work aligns with the initial briefsUtilising specialist video tools and tactics to convert video for in-gameTracking and updating the progress of day-to-day tasks using the designated tracking toolsActively seeking innovative ways to engage a targeted audience to heighten awareness and sales potential for Rebellion's gamesRequirementsProficiency in gameplay capture, video editing, and compositing techniques, including keyingExperience using game engines for making cinematicsFundamental techniques for audio mixingA passion for shooter and action games. Knowledge of the following: Adobe Premiere Adobe After Effects Image capturing tools Filming using professional camera equipment as required (E.g. Sony FX3) Photoshop/other 2d softwareKnowledge of production pipelines.
