Scope of Work: Monthly Video Editor (Monthly retainer)Position: Contract-Based Video EditorDuration: Monthly (Ongoing, with renewal upon review)Work Type: Remote🎯 OverviewUrban Academy is hiring a remote video editor on a monthly retainer basis to edit long-form and short-form talking head videos for educational content. While most projects will be for Urban Academy, occasionally client projects may be included with similar editing needs.🛠️ Work Responsibilities🔹 1. Long-Form Video EditingQuantity: 9–10 videos/month ( depending on quality ) Type: Talking head (educational/training style)Length: 5–10 minutes per video ( some videos might be 2-3 mins) Input: Raw footage providedOutput Requirements:Smooth cutting and pacingMotion graphics,stock footage( bangladeshi or taken from our youtube or fb) text overlays, and background musicFirst 2–3 minutes must be fully edited, rest can have lighter edits, such as stock footage, transitions, and occasional text/motion effectsTurnaround: 2–3 working days per video🔹 2. Short-Form (Reel) EditingQuantity: 1 reel per long video (9–10 total)Length: 30–90 secondsEditor’s Responsibility:Select best moments from the long videoApply reel-appropriate editing: jump cuts, animated text, hook-based structuring, reel pacing, and sound syncTurnaround: 1 working day per reel🔹 3. Occasional Client ProjectsSimilar talking head or marketing video content for Urban Digital clientsWill follow the same workflow as above (long + short version edits)📦 Monthly Deliverables9–10 fully edited long-form videos9–10 short-form reelsOccasional additional client videos (with prior briefing)Final formats: HD MP4 for YouTube, Facebook, InstagramAll files must be delivered in clearly organized folders🧠 Skills RequiredAdvanced editing with Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve ( capcut can be used but only capcut edits are not accepted) Proficient in motion graphics, text effects, and sound syncingStrong sense of storytelling and pacingMust be able to work independently and deliver on time🔁 Work FormatMonthly retainerFully remoteMust be reachable for feedback, revisions, and planning sessions
