Company DescriptionThe Minor Football League (MFL), established in 1993, is a professional minor league with 16 franchise teams in America and 16 in Africa, distributed across six divisions. Guided by its mission of community service and professional development, the MFL is the "laboratory of change," bridging the gap between players’ on-field performance and front-office opportunities. The MFL brings players "from the field to the front office." Founded by Dr. Richard D. Myles, Sr., a former professional player, the league mirrors models like minor league baseball and the NBA's G League. The MFL emphasizes integrity, commitment, and excellence as core principles in all its endeavors.Role DescriptionThe Minor Football League (MFL) is seeking qualified candidates to join the league's 2026 season internship program. The internship will begin in January 2026 and run through the league's season end in October. Interns will work with the MFL front office, the Minor Football League Foundation and the league's two divisions in both the USA and Africa. Interns should be prepared to work between 12-15 hours per week.This is a remote internship role for a Video Production Intern at the Minor Football League. The Video Production Intern will be responsible for editing and recording video for the league of players and fans. Interns will help with creating highlight and recap videos and well as league promotional videos. Interns will also assist with the weekly video production of "Inside the MFL" on DKN Sports presented by the DC Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and Entertainment.QualificationsExperience in Production Planning and Production ManagementStrong Communication skills for effective collaborationFamiliarity with Quality Control processes in video productionInterest in Training and development within production environmentsAbility to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote settingExperience or interest in sports-related video content is a plusEnrollment in or recent completion of a degree in Media, Film, Communications, or a related fieldPlease note: This internship qualifies for academic credit but is unpaid.For more information visit https://www.mflishere.com/internship-programTo finish your application please email samples of your video production work to experiencethemfl@gmail.com
