Are you looking for a full-time position where you’ll be creating multiple videos each week?If so, Ski Safari want to hear from you!As our in-house videographer/content creator, your role will focus on creating video content that fits our brand, mission and goals. As the visual storyteller for our company, you’ll be responsible for the entire video production process, from ideation and storyboarding to shooting, editing, publishing and promoting. It will be a huge bonus if you are also able to help with photography.Working closely with the Marketing Manager and wider team, you’ll own our video strategy, dramatically increasing our video output and instilling a culture of video across the business. As this is a new role, we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running. It’s a great opportunity to become a core member of the Ski Safari team.While focused initially on Ski Safari, you will also work on our cycling holiday brand, Freedom Treks.This is a permanent, full-time, office-based role (in Hove, UK), but we would consider contract, part-time and remote work for the right person.Specific responsibilities include:Owning and executing Ski Safari’s video content strategyConsistently producing 2-3 videos per week to use across Ski Safari’s website, social channels (including YouTube) and in sales communicationsInterviewing staff and customers, and coaching them to feel comfortable and confident on cameraCollating b-roll footage from suppliers and requesting it where missingPost-production editing and publicationWorking closely with the sales, operations and marketing teams to determine and prioritise video topicsDetermining what audiovisual equipment is required, budgeting and purchasingSetting up and operating production equipment, including cameras, microphones, lighting equipment and props on location and in our officeCoaching the wider marketing team on video production and marketing and the latest trends and technologiesReporting on the effectiveness of video contentTechnical skills:Proficient with a range of AV technology, including: mobile phones, DSLRs, action cameras, 360 cameras, camcorders, lavalier mics, shotgun mics and condenser micsProficient with video editing software - ideally Adobe Premiere Pro and After EffectsExperience with the full Adobe suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, is a plusProficient at storyboarding, scripting and turning ideas into contentUnderstand video and photo composition techniquesUp to speed with video and content marketing best practice, understanding how video fits into the wider marketing strategyPersonal skills:Highly attentive to detail, quick thinking and adaptableEnergetic and able to excite people to be on cameraLifelong learner always looking to grow and improveTechnically minded, able to troubleshoot problems with hardware and softwareResults-driven, able to work independently to meet business goalsCollaborative, able to work as a team to create the best contentAt least an intermediate skier or snowboarder - you can capture content on the slopes and you understand what customers want from their holidaysBonus points if:You are familiar with 'They Ask, You Answer' and 'Endless Customers', specifically 'The Selling 7' videosYou have personal experience of our destinations and resortsYou have experience filming and editing ski or snowboard contentYou’re an expert-level skier or snowboarder, confident filming in any conditionsYou also love cycling and travel generallyYou have your own travel-focused social media channelsYou’re also a brilliant photographer with an eye for framing the perfect shotYou have contagious enthusiasm that encourages those around youWhy Ski Safari?We are an award-winning, independent ski holiday company and we’ve become that by being totally focused on helping our customers have the absolute best ski or snowboarding holiday possible... for the past 30 years.We put together superb ski holidays to some of the most interesting and perhaps slightly more unusual (for UK skiers anyway) places to ski around the world - Canada and the US, Norway and Sweden, and Japan.
