We need an experienced and talented visual content developer to drive improved content and technical resources that support the Cloudera Platform & services.You will be contributing to the full content and documentation process, delivering visual artifacts, diagrams and resources, and also inspecting the quality of implementation. Partnering closely with technical writers, developers, product management, and engineering teams to deliver the most usable solutions possible. Additionally, you will work closely with the entire content and design teams to improve our process, our design system, and our team culture. The culture of the Cloudera Content team is human first, we actively seek to grow each person's career through outside education and candid compassionate feedback from other experienced designers.As a Visual Content Developer you will:Work on high-profile projects in the global content development teamDesign, create, revise and structure visual resources to assist product documentation development with an emphasis on developing technical diagramsCollaborate with content developers, software developers, support engineers, and product managers to ensure the accuracy of the visuals developedDrive visual content initiativesProvide guidance on visual content development to the global content development teamWe are excited about you if you have: (Required Experience)A Bachelors or Masters degree in (visual) communication/English/technical fieldFluent English skills (both verbal and written) Interest in technical subjectsHigh standards for quality and accuracy of own and others’ work Analytical thinkingExcellent communication skills and ability to work with a broad range of professionalsAbility to multi-task and solve problems effectively Motivation and ability to work independentlyYou might also have experience with:Experience developing technical diagramsGood visual design skills (in-depth skill of making visual representations of textual content)Experience with illustration and video creation tools including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite or CamtasiaAI x Design tools and processesVisual design principlesColor theory fundamentals Markup languagesXML/DITA authoring toolsUNIX/Linux environmentGitHubEEO/VEVRAA
