Visual Perception Engineer

Qualitest is looking for a Visual Perception Engineer for a project with one of its Clients who is a leader in the Virtual Reality space.ResponsibilitiesDesign & conduct perceptual studies to assist internal research and developments of prototype hardware and software to critically examine image quality, behavior, and performance.Analyze experiment results and give feedback to direct feature development with cross functional business partners.QualificationsPh.D in Computational Vision & Imaging, Color Science, Human Visual Perception or related field.Knowledge of perceptual evaluation, psychophysics, statistical data analysis and Computer Science & Engineering.Experience in designing, executing, and analyzing perceptual imaging and visual quality assessments.Experience with Mixed Reality devices in ImagingDeep care & understanding of final user experience from visual image quality standpoint.Experience in creating conclusive and concise reports to a wide range of audiences. Job MissionDesign user studies (procedure, methodology) that will help understand the user perception of MR devices.Run these studies in a controlled lab environment with “experts” and naive users from the office.Analyze the data to formulate the conclusions.
