We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Innovation team based in our NZ office — someone who is curious with a solid foundation in lab work and is eager to apply their knowledge in a practical, hands-on environment. Reporting in to the Head Cosmetic Chemist, you’ll support the development of our skincare products by working closely with our experienced Cosmetic Chemists and Product Developers. You’ll play a key role in formulating and testing new products, conducting lab experiments, managing raw materials, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities: Support the formulation of skincare products by preparing lab batches, assisting with trials, and evaluating texture, scent, and appearance. Conduct routine lab testing (e. g. pH, viscosity, stability) and help ensure products meet quality and performance standards.

Maintain clear and accurate documentation of lab work, assist with data analysis, and contribute to internal reports and compliance records. Manage raw materials in the lab — including handling, labelling, and inventory checks. Collaborate with Cosmetic Chemists, product development, and marketing teams to help bring new products to life. Skills & Experience: Tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related field. Experience working in a lab environment (ideally in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or FMCG). Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a love for hands-on work. Great communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
