STORES ASSISTANT – EAST LONDON

PermanentEastern CapePosted 23 hours agoVoltex (Pty) Ltd is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of a Stores Assistant for the East London branch. This incumbent will be reporting to the Branch Manager. The purpose of this role is to lead, plan, organise and control the daily operations of the branch and warehouse.

Your Areas Of ResponsibilityAssist with receiving stock, quality checking, handling, and packingAssist with dispatching of stock, quality checking, handling, and packingProcess orders (picking slips) from Internal salesEnsure the correct items and quantities are pulled, and to sign on the picking slips and stock bin cardsTake customers stock / orders and paperwork to the dispatch areaIf applicable ensure any cable cutting is correctEnsure good stock control and administrationAttend to customers that come in to collect stock / ordersAssist with loading and offloading of stock and packing in correct stock allocation areasEnsure effective housekeeping and safety according to prescribed standardsEnsure stores are kept neat and tidyEnsure that security regulations are always adhered toPerform other duties under instruction from the Branch / Stores Manager when requiredAssist with stock takingQualifications We Are Looking ForMatric / Equivalent is a MUSTMinimum of 2 years work experience in a stores / warehouse environment is an ADAVANTAGEGood product knowledgeKnowledge of warehouse processesKnowledge of relative safety standards protective clothingThese Are Your
