We are driving the socio-economic transformation of Africa, in partnership with women and other invested stakeholders. Role OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media & Digital Engagement Intern/Volunteer to support our daily digital communications and virtual programming. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in strategic content creation, online community management, and event moderation within a high-impact African leadership organization.Key ResponsibilitiesDaily management of LWA’s social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, X)Design engaging digital content including flyers, animations, reels, and short videosEdit and publish YouTube videos and other multimedia contentUpdate and maintain the LWA website (WordPress)Support virtual events: moderate Zoom sessions, manage chat/Q&A, assist with tech setupMonitor engagement metrics and suggest improvements for reach and visibilityCollaborate with the communications team to align content with LWA’s strategic messagingProfile SoughtPassionate about women’s leadership, African development, and digital storytellingProficient in Canva, CapCut, Adobe tools, or similar design/video platformsFamiliar with website content management (WordPress preferred)Comfortable hosting or moderating virtual events (Zoom, StreamYard, etc.)Strong writing and visual communication skillsReliable, proactive, and able to work independentlyFemale candidates are strongly encouraged to applyWhat You’ll GainReal-world experience in digital communications and event productionExposure to high-level African leadership programmes and networksMentorship from senior professionals in communications and strategyCertificate of Completion and reference letter upon successful engagementOpportunity to contribute meaningfully to a Pan-African movementSend your CV, portfolio (if available), and a short motivation (max 300 words) to: admin@leadingwomenofafrica.com
