This team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless coordination of production volumes, material flow, and scheduling across the manufacturing operations of Volvo’s first fully electric vehicle plant in Slovakia.
The Production Planning team ensures that Volvo Cars is grounded in operational excellence, enabling the plant to meet its production targets while maintaining flexibility and responsiveness to market demands. What you'll doAs a Bill of Materials (BOM) Engineer you will be responsible for managing and coordinating product changes or production plans (based on your experience). At Volvo Cars, this role is especially critical in ensuring that production aligns with evolving customer demands, product specifications and operational efficiency goals.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Plant Change order coordinator to manage and support the introduction of running changes in our production plant. Analyze and verify the BOM structure, investigate errors, and ensure accurate product configuration for all vehicles built in the plant. Manage the introduction of running changes, coordinate with internal departments and update local systems with change order data. Distribute change order information across departments, manage the change note meetings, and collaborate with plant departmentsMonitor and report on obsolete materials, working with Supply Chain Control to minimize waste and avoid overstocking.
Provide detailed breakdowns for project vehicles, support production planning when needed, and help steer building information systems in the plant.
