VP / SVP, Fundraising (Fintech – Payments)

Job Description

Our ClientOur client is a fast-growing fintech in the payments space. They are seeking a senior fundraising leader to drive capital formation and strategic transactions, partnering closely with founders and the leadership team to accelerate regional scale.Key ResponsibilitiesFundraising leadership: Own end-to-end capital raising (equity and/or debt) including story crafting, investor targeting, outreach, pipeline management, term-sheet negotiation, and closing.M&A / strategic transactions: Lead evaluation and execution of acquisitions, investments, and partnerships—covering market scans, valuations, due diligence, deal structuring, and integration planning.Investor relations & external engagement: Build and manage relationships with VCs, growth/PE funds, strategics, and lenders; represent the company in meetings, roadshows, and conferences.Strategic finance & business analytics: Translate strategy into numbers—build models, scenarios, and KPIs; assess unit economics, cohort performance, pricing, and capital efficiency; inform board-level decisions.Executive communications: Develop high-impact materials (decks, IC memos, board papers) and present to internal/external stakeholders with clarity and conviction.Cross-functional leadership: Partner with Product, Risk, Legal/Compliance, and Ops to align commercial priorities with transaction requirements and regulatory expectations.Requirements10+ years in FI/fintech/payments or adjacent financial services, with demonstrable success in fundraising and/or M&A (Series B+ / growth stages ideal).Deep financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capability; highly numerate with strong command of metrics, unit economics, and deal mechanics.Proven deal execution track record—negotiating terms, coordinating due diligence, and driving to close.Strong network with investors/lenders/strategics; credible, persuasive communicator and presenter.Comfortable operating in high-growth, ambiguous environments; pragmatic, hands-on, and outcome-oriented.Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business or related; MBA/CFA advantageous.Application ProcessPlease submit your resume to Emily Tan at et@empowerpartners.sg, quoting the job title.
