Study Program Civil Engineering | Department Building and DesignKennziffer: BG 2025/07Your ProfileYou are a distinguished individual with above-average knowledge and sound scientific and practical experience in the fields of construction management or construction informatics and have completed a degree in civil engineering or industrial engineering with a focus on construction (Master's, Diploma) as well as a doctorate in civil engineering or construction or project management.You also have: Relevant professional experience outside of academia in responsible positions Expertise in construction project management with regard to estimating, scheduling, or work preparation Practical experience with digital methods in the construction industryDesired: Practical knowledge of programming, modeling, surveying, and MEP EngineeringYou are well-connected within the construction industry and aim to actively participate in the university's research activities (e.g., AI applications in construction, sustainability in the STAMP research focus).You are able to fill the teaching in the area of digital construction project Management with lectures on construction management and construction informatics in the bachelor's and master's programs in civil engineering. Furthermore, we expect commitment to the further development of our degree programs, e.g., with regard to interdisciplinary projects on modeling and the application of IT methods in construction.The subject areas are to be represented both in teaching and in applied research. We expect very good didactical skills as well as the willingness to participate in the exchange with our international partner universities and to offer courses in English. In addition, we expect committed participation in teaching basic subjects and possibly giving lectures in related subject areas.We expect the applicant to integrate themselves well into the existing team both professionally and personally, to get involved in the academic self-administration of our university and to enjoy imparting knowledge from their own professional experience to the students.The university has a large number of collaborations with universities and research institutions such as Max Planck Institutes and Fraunhofer Institutes as well as companies. Intensifying and expanding these collaborations is highly desired.Active participation in the university’s research activities is desired. In this context, we strive to increase third-party funding and the number of cooperative doctorates.We advocate a supervision concept that requires a high level of presence of the teaching staff at the university campus.German language skills (at least level C1) and English language skills are required.
