ResponsibilitiesResponsible for sourcing and selecting qualified suppliers, analyzing the terms and conditions of vendors, suppliers, and service providers, including their credit terms.
Duties include reviewing, negotiating, and signing centralized procurement contracts and agreements, maintaining an up-to-date list of qualified suppliers, and registering new suppliers under the supervision of the Fleet DirectorContinuously monitor vendors, suppliers, service providers for pricing, quality and service levelsConduct annual and periodic assessments of vendors, suppliers and service providers, collecting feedback and complaints for reviewAnalyze the volume and nature of goods/services required for vessels in the upcoming year, assess market availability, and formulate purchasing strategies to meet business requirements. Develop and implement a centralized purchasing system to ensure cost-effective and efficient procurement.
Follow up with vendors and suppliers for invoices, maintain accurate records, upload invoices to the company system for payment processing, and ensure timely payment. Adhere to company manuals and departmental handbooks. Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by the company.
RequirementsDiploma, Degree or above in logistic management or any other disciplinesA minimum of 4 years solid experience in purchasing and tendering supervision in Shipping Industry is a MUSTSolid experience in implementation of procurement systems and procedures, strategic sourcing and vendor management would be an advantageGood organization, communication and people management skillsGood command of written and spoken EnglishImmediately available is highly preferredWe offer a competitive package to the right candidate.
