Company DescriptionYou will work within Warakirri Asset Management, a multi boutique asset manager with a specialist focus on ethical investing, actively managed equities, and agriculture. This role sits within one of its investment vehicles, Warakirri Cropping, which is an Australian owned, safety first, family oriented and innovative large scale cropping business. With over 155,000 hectares under management across Australia, Warakirri Cropping is a significant grain producer and a leader in broadacre farming. We are now looking to appoint a Sustainability Officer to help drive and support the delivery of Warakirri Cropping’s sustainability strategy.
This is a hybrid (3 days office, 2 from home) role based in our Melbourne office, working closely with our Productivity Coordinator (who previously held this role), our Senior Leadership Team, and the Sustainability Manager at Warakirri Asset Management. It is ideally suited to someone passionate about translating sustainability goals into real, measurable outcomes across our farming operations. Job DescriptionWhat the role entailsHelp deliver and support Warakirri Cropping’s Sustainability StrategyCoordinate initiatives across three key pillars:
people and community, climate resilience and natural capital, and sustainable productivityTrack and analyse sustainability KPIs and contribute to our annual Sustainability ReportAssist with annual greenhouse gas data collection, emissions calculations, and reportingSupport the management of sustainability-related accreditation programs such as Leading HarvestContribute to sustainability budgeting and support preparation for new regulatory reporting requirements. Support the implementation of Warakirri’s decarbonisation strategyAssist with nature-related disclosures and biodiversity initiatives aligned with frameworks.
