You will be responsible for working alongside the other ward administrators and the staff on the ward to ensure high quality patient care. You will be required to assist with coordinating patient discharges, booking transport and communicating with patients and their family members. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is a focus on patient care. You will work alongside our doctors, nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team to support them in the administrative tasks required to carry out the clinical work in the department.
You will be required to engage in patient flow, understanding the discharge metrics and engaging with the wider team to ensure efficient processes are followed, escalating to management where required. We expect you to be hard working, engaged and supportive towards yourcolleagues. You will have to learn and practice a number of differentadministrative functions, and to offer feedback and suggestions to improve theservice. It is important to provide an excellent level of service to our patients including being friendly, helpful and approachable at all times.
